Final Week (Release)
And we're live! It's been a messy road, this being a new experience for a lot of us, but it's been great working together up 'til now. We've all accomplished so much in barely 3 months: Kim's amazing level designs and modelling (which I then butchered and reassembled to make more levels); Weiran's awesome efforts integrating Selena's rad animations and Carol's impeccable sound design; JC's fantastic work on the UI; Carol and Adele's music that absolutely bop; and now the whole thing is finally assembled and working and it's a little hard to believe.
Going live into the Trail integration for the XP Game Showcase was a little hectic since we had to hammer out some performance issues that was causing the audio to stutter. A couple of hacks later and Weiran managed to get it functional while I went to test out baking lightmaps, which took awhile, especially since the final level was so large.
Selena's graffiti really livened up the levels and helped give subtle clues for how to approach the levels, and polaroids are implemented to add a little more incentive to explore. And with all the tracks finally live, it feels so much more complete!
